Did the F 117 fuel black triangle sightings?

Introduction

The F-117 Nighthawk is one of the strongest real-world examples of how secret military aircraft could generate sincere UFO reports in Nevada. Why the F-117 looked unlike ordinary aircraft

When the F-117 first flew in the early 1980s, it did not resemble the fighters that most people expected to see in American skies. Insufficient data. Many reports simply lack enough evidence. A witness may have seen something unusual, but without radar data, photographs or corroborating records, certainty is impossible.

This is why careful investigators usually treat the F-117 as a partial explanation rather than a complete answer. Some sightings fit well. Others remain unresolved. Still others may involve different classified aircraft that have never been fully acknowledged.
